Clinical Nurse Specialist

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Research Nurse Interventionist in Olympia, Washington.
About the Role:This is a part-time position, working 20 hours per week, with a duration of approximately 4-6 months during flu season. The successful candidate will be responsible for enrolling patients being seen at Urgent Care with a respiratory illness.
Key Responsibilities:- Review EPIC schedules and screen patients for eligibility
- Conduct telephone interviews, in-person interviews, or physical assessments as required
- Collect nose and throat swabs from participants and administer a questionnaire
- Perform medical record review and data collection
- Develop project intervention plans and tools, data collection instruments, and manual of operations
- Train new employees and prepare reports
- Plan, implement, and monitor participant safety and data quality control measures
- Minimum two (2) years of experience performing professional functions required by the project
- Certifications, licenses, or degrees as determined by the needs of the research projects
- Knowledge of research data collection requirements and specialized clinical intervention/measurement/assessment skills
- A thorough understanding of regulatory policies governing industry practices, HIPAA requirements for clinical research, and knowledgeable about patient safety and quality control requirements
