Tax Manager Job Description

The Tax Manager will work closely with the Senior Manager - Trust Accounting and Tax to oversee the tax compliance process and other assigned tax planning projects for Envirocon, Inc. and its Trust. This includes managing the tax compliance process for various entity types and structures located throughout the United States and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with entities, accounting personnel, and third-party service providers to ensure accuracy and timeliness of returns, compliance with applicable foreign, federal, state, and local tax rules and regulations.
  • Participate in the organization's strategic income tax planning and structuring initiatives.
  • Manage regulatory audits of income tax returns, as necessary.
  • Function as the liaison with operating company management and accounting personnel on tax accounting issues and compliance.
  • Support transfer pricing methodologies associated with intercompany transactions and activities.
  • Manage professional services providers' actual fees to budget.
  • Perform research, analysis, and due diligence for various income tax-related issues to support management decision making.
  • Ensure internal policies, procedures, and processes are followed related to income tax accounting and compliance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation.
  • Masters Degree in Business Taxation, preferred.
  • CPA license in good standing, preferred.
  • Minimum of four years' experience in tax.
  • Big Four or national accounting firm preferred.
  • Experience in family office and high-net-worth individual income tax planning and compliance, preferred.
