About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Specialist to join our team at NorthWestern Energy. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with safety and health standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and support the general safety and health effort for all assigned areas.
  • Perform field environmental compliance activities, including inspections and audits.
  • Develop and implement effective safety training programs and materials.
  • Identify and mitigate safety and environmental risks, and track issues until resolved.
  • Represent the company with presentations to the general public, contractors, and emergency responders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in safety and health or a related field.
  • Certification in safety (CSP) or industrial hygiene (CIH) preferred.
  • Electric and natural gas utility experience preferred, but not required.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • First Aid/CPR Certification (or ability to acquire).
  • Commitment to safe working practices and knowledge of safety policies/procedures.
