In this position, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to patients, colleagues, and referral sources by managing and coordinating front office operations. The ideal candidate will possess a background in administration, showcasing strong computer skills and a commitment to customer service.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Greet individuals as they arrive at the clinic.
  • Inform patients about expected wait times and any potential delays.
  • Conduct patient check-ins, ensuring accurate verification of demographic and insurance details.
  • Complete registration for walk-in patients.
  • Collect patient payments, including deductibles, copays, and co-insurance.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments for patients during checkout, including casting, measuring, delivery, and care plan appointments.
  • Handle incoming phone calls.
  • Serve as a resource for Hanger clinic services, assisting with patient experience programs and support groups.
  • Support the Revenue Cycle Management team in gathering any missing or additional patient information.
  • Maintain precise and comprehensive electronic health records for our patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license and a driving record that meets Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy standards.
  • A satisfactory score on a skills assessment, which will be administered during the selection process.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a medical office setting.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly NextGen.
  • Knowledge of state and federal reimbursement laws, HIPAA regulations, and medical insurance terminology.
  • Typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute with accuracy.
