Controller/Consultant Role Overview
Our client, a Non-Profit dedicated to higher education, is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join their team on a consulting basis. This individual will be responsible for managing key accounting functions and delivering sophisticated financial insights. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of how financial reports are used at a high level and experience with Sage Intacct.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform general accounting functions, including overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
Generate and analyze standard financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Build reconciliation reports to ensure data alignment between systems and financials.
Manage grant reporting, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and regulations.
Collaborate with leadership to provide insights into how financial reports support strategic decision-making.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Must have experience with Sage Intacct.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Experience building reconciliation reports that align with data from multiple systems.
Expertise in grant reporting and compliance.
Ability to provide high-level insights on the strategic use of financial reports, beyond just creating them.
