Job Summary

Vitol BioMethane is seeking a highly skilled Plant Manager to oversee the operations and maintenance of our RNG facility in Mt. Vernon, AL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and compliant execution of all maintenance, safety, regulatory, and operational activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Operations Management: Supervise and manage site operators, ensuring adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve operational problems that arise, working closely with third-party contractors and internal teams.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Provide and support compliance and regulatory departments with site and pipeline data, ensuring compliance with programs and regulations such as LCFS, RINs Verification, TCEQ, EPA, RRC, and other entities requirements.
  • Engineering Review and Design: Review and check engineering deliverables of 3rd party process engineers to determine accuracy and completeness, while also reviewing for constructability and operability.
  • Project Management: Assist in design reviews and evaluate potential design changes through the MOC program to ensure safe and effective changes are executed.
  • Travel and Remote Work: Occasional traveling to various project sites to assist in major O&M activities, with the ability to work independently and remotely.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited University; Chemical Engineering degree preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of related experience and or training.
  • Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of Database and Project Management software, Mechanical, P&ID, and Electrical engineering design and concepts. Solid experience with AutoCAD Design software. P&ID experience is strongly preferred.
  • Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license is a strong preference.
