HVAC Technician Job Description

At Space Exploration Technologies Corp., we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration, and we need talented individuals to join our team. As an HVAC Technician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the comfort and safety of our facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair HVAC support equipment on facilities systems, including air handlers, chilled water, condenser pumps, cooling towers, valves, filters, and more.
  • Collaborate with engineering and managers to ensure systems are in peak operating condition.
  • Follow all regulations and appropriate company procedures, including quality policies, safety policies, and standards.
  • Perform ductwork modifications and various repairs.
  • Perform brazing, soldering, evacuation, and charging of various refrigerants.
  • Perform water piping and insulation modifications and repairs.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 3+ years of professional experience working with HVAC, pneumatic, mechanical, or electrical systems.
  • Associate degree in HVAC technology or related field.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical safety, pneumatic principles, tubing, pipe-fittings, rotating machinery, and mechanical fasteners.
  • Universal certification from the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI).
  • Ability to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, working in cramped positions, and climbing hand over hand.
