Position Overview: The Annuity New Business Department serves as the initial point of contact in the annuity application journey. Our team offers personalized support from the moment an application is submitted until the policy is approved for issuance. We provide updates through both inbound and outbound communications with sales agents and business partners, delivering written and verbal responses through various channels, including phone calls, correspondence, email, and instant messaging (IM). Our role emphasizes the importance of Annuity products and services, embodying the company's mission and values while fostering trustworthy, long-lasting relationships with agents and customers.
Role Responsibilities: As an Annuity Application Specialist, you will manage the processing of annuity applications and perform administrative tasks, such as reviewing application documents for completeness and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. This position demands patience, empathy, and meticulous attention to detail to address all inquiries and concerns. SILAC provides continuous training to enhance your expertise and accuracy in processing applications of varying complexities.
Through proactive communication, you will establish strong, enduring relationships with agents, IMOs, and distribution partners. You may encounter complaints or complex issues, providing opportunities for growth in conflict resolution and teamwork.
SILAC seeks a detail-oriented professional with the technical skills necessary to update our systems and utilize reports related to fraud, privacy issues, complaints, and suggestions.
Job Details
Starting Pay Rate: $19.50
Employment Type: Full Time
Standard Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week
Work Schedule: Shift begins between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM MT
Schedule Type: In-Office
Document Review: Analyze and review new business applications to ensure all necessary documents are prepared, accurate, and complete. Conduct suitability reviews of incoming applications and collaborate with leadership for secondary reviews as needed. Assess corrected documents received for pending applications and serve as a subject matter expert for new business forms and processing guidelines.
Communication: Foster strong, lasting relationships with agents, IMOs, and distribution partners through proactive communication regarding new business practices and application processing status. Promptly resolve processing issues and maintain accurate records in relevant systems.
Processing: Execute processing tasks related to Annuity New Business from application entry to approval. Investigate and resolve issues arising during the application process, including identifying and obtaining missing information or required documents. Act as the primary contact for agents, IMOs, and other distribution partners regarding application processing status, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
Telephone Support: Provide assistance to sales agents and business partners via telephone, employing patience, empathy, and active listening skills to address requests, product inquiries, and guidance, while clarifying misunderstandings and resolving complaints.
Research: Investigate and resolve issues related to application processing, fund transfers between carriers, and suitability concerns. Stay informed of changes and enhance your knowledge to accurately respond to inquiries of varying complexity.
Report to and perform additional tasks as directed by the New Business Operations Manager.
Job Requirements
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in customer service, educational training, or insurance industry experience
- Complex problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with PC applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook
- Detail-oriented with the ability to complete tasks accurately and timely
- Professional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
