Job Title: Business Application Specialist II

At Intermountain Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Business Application Specialist II to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing and coordinating all necessary PeopleSoft ERP system maintenance and reporting for assigned departments, facilities, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform local system maintenance and review financial and operational data per corporate standards.
  • Coordinate the use of operational and financial systems, as well as ancillary tools.
  • Ensure that distribution, inventory, receiving, financial, operational, and departmental files/reports are generated and retained in accordance with auditing and accounting policies.
  • Measure and assess system, operational, and financial processes for assigned departments/facilities for compliance to policy and standard operating and financial procedures.
  • Provide ongoing training and support on all financial, operational, and supply chain IT tools.
  • Support implementation of new tools and processes for assigned departments and/or facilities.
  • Research and resolve system, operational, and financial related problems for assigned facilities.
  • Coordinate with Central Supply Chain, Finance, Information, Clinical Engineering, Facilities Maintenance, and Information Systems teams as needed.
  • Review system, financial, and operational day-end and month-end reports for assigned locations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Facilitate physical inventory and cycle counts, and other inventory management activities for assigned facilities.
  • Conduct coaching and training sessions to ensure processes are being followed properly.
  • Support implementation and training of new system releases/upgrades for assigned facilities/teams.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or four years of experience in a role working directly with Supply Chain systems or within materials management.
  • Three years of professional experience working within a related area.
  • Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, databases, and presentations.
  • Experience in a role requiring the application of analytical skills.
  • Experience in a role requiring effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to teach and train others.
  • One year of experience in a role requiring an advanced knowledge of general accounting principles, including balancing, statistics, budgeting, and general ledger transactions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Computer Science obtained through an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of related professional experience through certification such as Certified Public Accountant, or Certified Supply Chain Professional, Professional Business Analyst.
  • Experience and knowledge of the Healthcare Industry or Healthcare Supply Chain.
  • One year of hands-on experience with AS400, SQL, and e-commerce query language.
Work Environment:

This role will be based at LDS Hospital, Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. The hourly range for this position is $26.84 - $42.28. Intermountain Health is an equal opportunity employer and offers a comprehensive benefits package to its caregivers.
