We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team as a Patient Care Specialist. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of our physicians.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. Job Description

About the Role

As a Medical Assistant - Patient Care Specialist, you will be responsible for performing multi-skilled activities to support patient-centered care. Your duties will include interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, recording information in medical records, and preparing treatment rooms for examinations.

You will also be required to possess basic computer skills and maintain annual competencies. Ability to understand and implement detailed instructions, make accurate physical observations, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing are essential for this role.

Minimum Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with completion of an accredited medical assisting program preferred. You must be certified through the American Medical Technologist (AMT), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National Health career Association (NHA), MedCA, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP).

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider is also required.
