Job Overview

At Winzeler Couplings & Metals, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Engineering Technician to support our dynamic team. This role plays a crucial part in assisting engineering projects through data collection, fabrication, and maintenance of various systems.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of mechanical principles and the ability to work with hand tools and schematics. They will collaborate with engineers to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate and maintain records as outlined in ECN procedures.
  • Drawing, maintaining, and controlling WCM and customer part prints, specifications, and corresponding files.
  • Maintaining all data pertaining to manufactured and purchased part numbers, both current and obsolete. Notify relevant departments of inactive/obsolete parts or tooling.
  • Assist engineering in creating and completing cost sheets and miscellaneous correspondence as required.
  • Support the part numbering system.
  • Develop new and/or revised production methods and item masters into the mainframe.
  • Auditing and monitoring the accuracy of production methods and item masters.
  • Evaluating new/repair tooling reports as needed.
  • Maintaining WCM/Customer specifications data.
  • Special projects assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Proficient mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools.
  • Familiarity with data collection methods and analytical techniques.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for creating technical drawings is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within the team.
