We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deli Department Manager to join our team at Kennie's Market's Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Deli Department to achieve sales and profit goals, while ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and supervise a team of 10-12 employees in the Deli Department, including interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating their performance.
- Develop and implement sales and profit strategies to achieve departmental goals, including inventory management, pricing, and promotions.
- Ensure that all products are of high quality and freshness, and that the department is well-stocked and visually appealing.
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve store-wide sales and profit goals, and to resolve any operational issues.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including inventory levels, sales data, and employee performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as all relevant laws and regulations.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2-4 years of related experience and/or training.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively to customers and employees.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts, and to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
The Deli Department Manager will work in a fast-paced retail environment, with frequent exposure to food products, cleaning chemicals, and other hazards. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a team environment.
