About the Role

MongoDB is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Program Manager to join our Cloud Services team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for delivering critical services and features that enable our MongoDB Cloud Products to scale.

You will partner with key Engineering, Product, and Product Design stakeholders to drive coordination between product development teams and internal stakeholders. Your expertise in project management, technical aptitude, and strong analytical skills will be essential in identifying risks to the team's delivery and mitigating them where possible.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will own the data around the health of each team's project and ticket backlog, and be responsible for promoting a culture of continuous improvement through retrospectives and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute and improve the processes and tools that inform the daily life of engineering teams
  • Drive coordination between product development teams and internal stakeholders to prioritize the team's backlog and plan its release roadmap
  • Identify risks to the team's delivery, mitigating them where possible
  • Own the data around the health of each team's project and ticket backlog
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by conducting retrospectives to help identify areas of growth and learnings within and across teams
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and strong analytical skills with proven results
  • 5+ years industry experience as a program or engineering manager
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt style and delivery for a variety of audiences
