The Suffolk University Athletic Department is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Athletic Training Professional to join our team. As an Assistant Athletic Trainer, you will play a critical role in supporting the needs of our student-athletes across 19 varsity sports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill the needs of varsity sports and club sports as assigned, including practice and training coverage, game day coverage, office hours, and physical therapy.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with head coaches, coaching staffs, and Athletic Director and support staff.
  • Assist with coordination of game day needs for both home and away contests, including setup, preparation, and student-athlete care staffing.
  • Provide education and training to coaches and staff on topics such as CPR-AED, blood-borne pathogens, and concussion education.
  • Maintain a clean and organized Athletic Training room.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of athletic training experience, with experience at the college level preferred.
  • Strength and Conditioning background strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of NCAA and GNAC rules and regulations.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and computer skills.
  • Ability to work afternoon, night, weekend hours, and moderate travel.
