Key Responsibilities
  • Implement EHS Programs: Develop and implement effective EHS programs to meet regulatory compliance and company goals.
  • Maintain EHS Procedures: Update and maintain existing EHS procedures, standard operating procedures, and policies to ensure compliance.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Supervisors: Collaborate with manufacturing supervisors to review and improve EHS practices and ensure adoption by employees.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety policies, regulations, and reporting in manufacturing.
  • Hazardous Risk Assessments: Perform hazardous risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop risk prevention plans.
  • Emergency Response: Participate in emergency response duties and practice drills, and review the emergency response plan.
  • EHS Inspections and Audits: Conduct EHS-related inspections and audits, and provide corrective action as needed.
  • Accident Investigations: Investigate accidents, identify causes, and provide corrective actions.
  • Reporting and Data Tracking: Prepare and maintain analytical reports and data tracking.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Represent the company in a positive working relationship with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies, and property insurance representatives.
  • Environmental Certifications: Supervise compliance for environmental certifications and regulations.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree in Environmental or Safety Science preferred.
  • Experience: 1 year + EHS consulting or facility EHS management in a manufacturing industry preferred.
  • OSHA Certification: OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
  • EHS Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of ISO14001, EHS laws and regulations.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with other departments in the development of EHS programs.
Physical Requirements
  • Sitting and Standing: Sitting, standing, walking, bending, and twisting as necessary.
  • Personal Protective Equipment: Must be able to wear personal protective equipment such as gloves, respirator, safety glasses, and metatarsal guard shoes, etc.
  • Environmental Conditions: Will be exposed to extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid).
  • Lifting: Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
