Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Barrett Business Services, Inc. (BBSI). As a key member of our business unit team, you will consult on a broad range of organizational and management areas, with a primary focus on processing perfect and timely payrolls for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run high-volume payrolls for multiple client companies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Become an expert in new client onboarding, BBSI payroll, CRM, timekeeping, and HRIS systems.
  • Perform on-site client payroll training and use of all feature functionalities relevant to clients.
  • Become a subject matter expert on client data, including turnover, headcount fluctuations, time and attendance, and payroll complexities.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of payroll experience in a multi-client, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong client service orientation and superb customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement and streamlining.
  • Experience as a bookkeeper or accountant is desirable.
  • Knowledge of wage and hour laws and taxability of wages.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
