Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Cashier PT to join our team at IGA Southeast. As a valued member of our store, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service to our guests.

Responsibilities:

  1. Process Guest Orders: Accurately process guests' orders to ensure proper recording of sales and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  2. Handle Monies and Tender: Accurately handle all monies and tender to ensure proper accounting of all transactions and maintain a secure and organized cash handling process.
  3. Bag and Assist Guests: Properly bag guests' orders, place in cart or hand to guest, and follow our store's carryout practices to ensure a smooth and efficient checkout experience.
  4. Teamwork and Communication: Work well with all team members to grow our community and maintain a positive and supportive work environment.
  5. Maintain Clean Work Area: Continually maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and healthy environment for guests and team members.
  6. Guest Flow and Cash Controls: Direct guests into their lane to maintain guest flow and achieve our Guest Arrival standard of no more than two guests waiting at one lane to checkout. Maintain cash controls and procedures to eliminate shrink and maintain a secure and organized cash handling process.
  7. Additional Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned by management to ensure the success of our store.

Qualifications:

  1. Friendly and Outgoing Personality: Possess a friendly and outgoing personality to provide excellent customer service to our guests.
  2. Teamwork and Communication Skills: Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively to maintain a positive and supportive work environment.
  3. Physical Demands: Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 15 lbs. constantly, as well as stand for extended periods of time.
  4. Math Skills and Attention to Detail: Demonstrate successful use of math skills and attention to detail to accurately process transactions and maintain a secure and organized cash handling process.
  5. Effective Communication and Guest Service Skills: Possess effective communication and guest service skills to provide excellent customer service to our guests.
  6. Ability to Retrieve and Push Shopping Carts: Ability to retrieve and push shopping carts to maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  7. Ability to Bend and Lift: Ability to bend and lift to load guests' orders into cars.
