Our Air Dominance Engineering Teams in Hazelwood, MO, are seeking talented engineers to join our dynamic and growing organization. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of current and evolutionary aircraft and weapons systems across various divisions, including:

  • Air Dominance (Phantom Works. F-15, F/A-18, MQ-25A)
  • Mobility, Surveillance, & Bombers (777X)
  • Space Intelligence & Weapons Systems (Harpoon, JDAM, SDB, SLAM-ER)
  • Boeing Global Services businesses

As a Structural Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing, integrating, and documenting structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design
  • Developing, maintaining, and modifying structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle
  • Performing, integrating analytical and test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
  • Managing supplier development, test, and production activities and coordinating with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals
  • Developing new design/analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of the development effort
  • Investigating emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements

We're looking for engineers with a strong background in aircraft structural design, using metallic and composite materials. Experience with three-dimensional parametric modeling using NX/Teamcenter or CATIA/ENOVIA methods and tools is also essential. Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 2+ years' experience with Aircraft Structural Design utilizing metallic and composite materials
  • Experience with three-dimensional parametric modeling using NX/Teamcenter or CATIA/ENOVIA methods and tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months
  • Experience in aerospace materials and structures used on commercial and/or military aircraft
  • Experience with Full Size Determinant Assembly

Typical Education/Experience:

(Associate, Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

(Experienced, Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

(Senior, Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range

Level 2: $75,650 - $102,350

Level 3: $90,100 - $121,900

Level 4: $113,050 - $152,950
