Structural Engineer Design Lead

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Structural Engineer Design Lead to lead our structural engineering and design projects for public infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our team.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare structural design calculations and perform analyses on projects of varying complexity.
  • Prepare plans and specifications for construction projects that comply with applicable codes and regulations.
  • Perform construction administration with periodic field inspections.
  • Assist with generating required engineering reports, performing quantity estimates, detailing, and drafting.
  • Bridge inspections and load ratings with some travel possible.
  • Ensure SRF's quality procedures are maintained for all work.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a similar degree from an accredited school with an emphasis in structural engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer or with the ability to obtain MN and WI licensure within 6 months.
  • 4 or more years of Structural Engineering experience in bridge design preferred.
  • Experience on a variety of state and local engineering projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and produce construction plans and documents using AutoDesk or Bentley design software.
