Payroll Manager

The Payroll Manager will oversee all aspects of payroll operations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of payroll systems, tax regulations, and employee benefits.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the end-to-end payroll process for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Train management teams on timekeeping compliance and policies
- Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, tax withholdings, and benefits deductions.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll for all locations, including hourly and salaried employees.
- Prepare and submit all payroll-related reports, including tax filings, quarterly and year-end reports, and benefit reconciliations.
- Collaborate with HR to manage terminations, offboarding, including payroll-related documentation and final pay calculations.
- Stay current on payroll regulations and best practices, implementing changes as necessary to maintain compliance.
- Address payroll inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner, providing excellent customer service to employees.
- Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll and ensure necessary documentation is readily available.
- Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide training and support to staff on payroll-related matters and software systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in payroll management or a similar role, must have multi-state environment experience.
- Strong knowledge of payroll software and systems (experience with ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
- Excellent understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPP or FPC) is a plus.
