Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Rocket Engine Support Team Manager to join our team in Huntsville, AL. As a key member of our Engines MRO and Support Engineering team, you will be responsible for leading a team of rocket engine specialists to support existing and future program requirements.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the full employee life cycle, including recruitment, performance management, training, and career growth.
  • Guiding team members to support existing and future program requirements.
  • Enhancing technical processes, establishing best practices, and advancing tool development through collaborative efforts with a diverse team.
  • Ensuring thorough flight critical maintenance, collaborating with manufacturing engineers and the BE-4 program to streamline flight engine maintenance, support operations, and manage engine delivery logistics and tooling.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of a B.S. degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace engineering (or related fields may be considered).
  • A proven track record of at least 2 years in leading teams and shaping company-level policies and strategies.
  • 5+ years of experience in rocket/aero engine testing, manufacturing, or similar fields.
  • Experience in MRO within the aerospace industry.
  • Demonstrated ability in supervising, guiding, and mentoring fellow engineers.
  • Strong skills in coordination, personnel management, and project oversight.
  • Desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that values teamwork.
  • Track record in promoting collaborative work environments.
  • Maintaining employee training records and emphasizing development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with engine components and anomaly investigations.
  • Capacity for self-direction and multitasking.
  • Ability to build trust, cultivate professional relationships, and foster inclusivity.
  • Hands-on approach with a zeal for operational excellence.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or meet specific residency requirements.
Desired Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • M.S. degree or higher.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in maintenance, repair, and overhaul management.
  • Knowledge of rocket engine system operations, verification processes, and risk management.
  • Experience in systems engineering practices and anomaly investigations.
  • History of procuring, installing, and integrating custom manufacturing equipment.
  • Proficiency in project planning and successful project execution.
  • Background in logistics systems management within high-tech industries.
