Job Summary

Vallourec - North America is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead capital projects and manage maintenance areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, project management, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Develop, prepare, and execute capital improvement ideas and projects from inception to completion.
  • Engineering Specifications: Write and approve engineering specifications, designs, and spare parts lists.
  • Migration Planning: Develop, recommend, and implement migration paths for obsolete controls and components.
  • Installation Coordination: Plan, schedule, coordinate, and direct the installation of new or existing components on all projects.
  • Prioritization: Establish priorities with reliability and energy conservation in mind.
  • Capital Project Management: Manage, direct, and execute all assigned area capital projects.
  • Drawing Management: Responsible for maintenance area equipment drawings, including drawing changes and updates.
  • Energy Reporting: Provide monthly energy reporting and operate the plant's Wonderware SCADA system.
  • High Voltage Support: Provide high voltage electrical engineering support for the plant's distribution systems and equipment.
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as the assigned technical expert for projects managed by other project managers.
  • Technical Support: Accountable for the technical support of assigned facility maintenance area and daily problem solving/root cause analysis with the goal of increasing OEE.
  • Communication: Communicate with maintenance, operation supervisors, and process engineers to solve and prevent various issues for the mill.
  • Reliability and Quality: Apply guidelines, practices, and procedures of Reliability Based Maintenance, Safety, Environmental, Quality Control, and Energy Conservation.
Requirements
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Experience: Mechanical, electrical, leadership, and engineering experience.
Education and Certifications
  • Education: BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial equipment environment.
