Vallourec Star LP is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading capital projects, maintaining and operating electrical systems, and ensuring reliability and energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Capital Projects: Develop, prepare, and execute capital improvement ideas and projects from inception to completion.
- Electrical System Maintenance: Plan, schedule, coordinate, and direct installation of new or existing components on all projects, including project status reports as required.
- Reliability and Energy Efficiency: Establish priorities with reliability and energy conservation in mind, and manage, direct, and execute all assigned area capital projects.
- Technical Support: Provide high voltage electrical engineering support for the plant's distribution systems and equipment, and serve as the assigned technical expert for projects managed by other Project Managers.
- Problem Solving: Accountable for communicating with maintenance, operation supervisors, and process engineers to solve and prevent various issues for the mill.
- Compliance: Applies guidelines, practices, and procedures of Reliability Based Maintenance, Safety, Environmental, Quality Control, and Energy Conservation.
- Education: BS Engineering Electrical, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial equipment environment.
- Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents, mathematical skills, reasoning ability, and ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Experience: Mechanical, electrical, leadership, and engineering experience.
- Safety Awareness: Demonstrated understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
- Directability: Ability to lead and direct teams.
- Teamwork: Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with others.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.
- Accountability: Demonstrated accountability for results and actions.
