Position Overview:

Engtal is in search of a proficient Electrical & Controls Engineer to contribute to diverse projects and equipment initiatives across various departments. This position requires providing electrical and controls knowledge to improve project results and foster ongoing enhancements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver electrical and controls engineering assistance to the Engineering team, encompassing product, project, process, and plant engineering.
  • Facilitate electrical support for setups, including AMS/Programming.
  • Oversee automation initiatives aimed at line optimization and continuous enhancement.
  • Offer practical support for upcoming projects, including welding, automation, and controls.
  • Diagnose electrical problems on current equipment and projects.
  • Recommend and execute controls upgrade initiatives to enhance production efficiency.
  • Identify, address, and escalate challenges that may affect project goals.
  • Carry out additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • Experience: Familiarity with electrical fieldwork and experience overseeing electrical contractors.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and MS Project.
  • Experience with PLC/Programming.
  • Knowledge of AMS.

Physical Demands:

  • Capability to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to utilize small tools and lift weights up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing and mill setting, with occasional travel (approximately 10%).
  • Office environment as necessary.
