Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team at Skookum. As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting tests and inspections of automotive services and repairs to ensure they meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting tests and inspections of automotive services and repairs
  • Identifying modifications to engines, fuel systems, emissions control equipment, or other vehicle systems
  • Monitoring or reviewing output from systems and conducting road tests to validate road worthiness and operation of commercial motor vehicles
  • Performing inspections on completed work orders and documentation to ensure the final product meets quality standards
  • Validating work order flow and reviewing maintenance documents, historical files, and inspection records to note any trends or recurring discrepancies for initiating corrective action plans
  • Inspecting Shop Stock to ensure adequate service items are on hand prior to semiannual and annual service
  • Acting as a technical advisor to the Maintenance Supervisor and Shop Lead
  • Assisting the Maintenance Supervisor and Shop Lead with work order tracking and status updates in GCSS-ARMY
  • Monitoring the Safety and well-being of employees
  • Knowledge and understanding of Safety Data Sheet(s) (SDS)

Requirements:

  • Eight (8) years minimum of military and civilian commercial vehicle maintenance experience is preferred
  • ASE certification(s) or relevant experience is required
  • Knowledge of OSHA Regulations and EPA guidelines is required
  • Knowledge of GCSS-Army is preferred
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds
    • Must be able to push/pull 300+ pounds
    • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties
