Position Summary:
The Visual Merchandising Supervisor (VMS) plays a crucial role in enhancing product presentation within designated sections, fostering a vibrant sales atmosphere by ensuring that all visual elements are aligned with established company standards aimed at boosting sales.
This role provides specialized knowledge in visual presentation, merchandising strategies, display setups, and the execution of all in-store promotional materials (such as signage, themed displays, endcaps, and promotional tables) that highlight seasonal themes and in-store campaigns within their assigned areas.
The VMS encourages store team members to be well-versed in visual merchandising practices and standards while consistently promoting a culture of ethical behavior, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
The Visual Merchandising Supervisor supports all facets of the visual merchandising processes for the store by collaborating with the Visual Manager to plan and lead transitions, product assortment updates, and resets while ensuring visual integrity, cleanliness, organization, and inspiring customers to explore ideas and solutions through engaging visual displays.
The VMS oversees task management by organizing and executing daily and weekly responsibilities and assigned projects in partnership with the Visual Manager to achieve visual merchandising, departmental, and store sales objectives, as well as customer engagement, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and promptly.
The VMS participates in all freight handling processes for incoming shipments and/or transitions. The VMS processes freight and organizes designated areas, including restocking and maintaining end caps, while ensuring a tidy, organized section.
The VMS supports the store team in areas such as customer satisfaction, inventory management, safety, loss prevention, and overall customer experience to ensure the store operates effectively and profitably.
Regular meetings and discussions with team members on these topics are encouraged.The VMS serves as a mentor and coach in all aspects related to visual merchandising, providing ongoing learning opportunities for all team members.
The VMS utilizes daily interactions to communicate and educate on visual priorities and the creation of visual experiences that enhance the customer journey.
The Visual Merchandising Supervisor reviews store performance metrics from the store scorecard, including sales and expenses, and takes action within assigned sections to improve results.
The VMS ensures the upkeep of a neat, organized section, guaranteeing the store is consistently updated with current signage and displays.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs.Open availability is required, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications & Skills:
Must be at least 18 years old.
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with strong verbal, written, and comprehension skills.
Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. or team lift 100 lbs.
Capability to interpret visual merchandising concepts and adapt them to the store environment, accommodating various store designs and layouts.
Strong attention to detail regarding standards, marketing, lighting, and display setups.Reliable and trustworthy, serving as a role model for ethical behavior. Always prioritizes the best interests of team members, customers, and the company.
