Chapter Next Returnship Opportunity

About the Program

Our 12-16 week paid returnship is hosted by Lockheed Martin's Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) division. The program is designed for individuals who have taken a career break of at least 1+ years and are looking to re-enter the workforce in a challenging and rewarding role.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced PCB designer to join our team as a returnship participant. As a PCB designer, you will play a pivotal role in developing complex circuit board designs according to customer specifications. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with clients to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Conducting component selection based on performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Performing high-speed signal integrity analysis to ensure precise timing and mitigate EMI impacts.
  • Developing power profiles and selecting onboard power regulation and distribution systems to meet the circuit's power requirements.
  • Specifying PCB stack-up criteria to optimize signal integrity and thermal management.
  • Overseeing layout and routing activities to ensure adherence to design guidelines and standards.
  • Creating and executing validation and integration plans to verify the performance and functionality of the circuit board designs.
Requirements

To be eligible for this returnship program, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and/or equivalent experience. You should also have experience in circuit board design and familiarity with tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or Mentor Graphics PADS. Knowledge of component selection, power distribution, and PCB stack-up design is also required.
