NICU Charge Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced NICU Charge Nurse to join our team at Swedish First Hill. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for coordinating patient care activities on the nursing unit, providing immediate clinical oversight of staff members, and ensuring that all daily departmental activities are completed.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, identify, and prioritize patient care needs, developing and implementing individualized plans of care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including medication administration, treatments, and procedures.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
- Lead and manage the nursing team, delegating tasks and responsibilities to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based practices to enhance patient care and safety.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Current Washington State Registered Nurse license.
- National Provider BLS certification.
- National Provider NRP certification.
- At least one year of NICU nursing experience, with demonstrated leadership and management skills.
