About the Role

Cumulus Media is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Executive to join our team in New London, CT. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, growing existing client relationships, and delivering effective sales presentations to meet or exceed set sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gain a deep understanding of client business needs and develop customized advertising solutions to meet their objectives
  • Deliver multi-platform, integrated sales presentations and negotiate and close deals
  • Sell Cumulus' station digital assets and digital audience extension products to deliver a complete marketing solution to advertisers
  • Prospect and aggressively seek new clientele through networking, cold calling, and referrals
  • Follow all station and corporate procedures for preparing orders, resolving billing issues, and submitting regular reports
  • Stay up-to-date with the competitive landscape and emerging technologies to best position Cumulus in the marketplace
Requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, social networking platforms, and CRM tools
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience developing new business relationships in an outside sales role
  • Strong understanding of lead generation and ability to connect with viable prospects
  • Comprehension of sales metrics to fill a sales funnel and robust pipeline of residual business
  • Positive attitude and willingness to grow professionally
  • High energy and passion for the job
