Emergency Room Nurse

Position Title: Emergency Room Nurse
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Nurse to join our team. This role requires a minimum of three years of recent experience in an emergency care setting or a major trauma facility.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time position available
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver prescribed medical care and personal support services to patients in need.
- Document patient observations, assessments, and any changes in their condition accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to individuals with diverse physical and mental health challenges.
- Assist in the care of patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
- Manage care for patients requiring special precautions, including isolation protocols.
- Insert and maintain peripheral intravenous lines.
- Oversee central lines for intravenous fluid administration.
- Ensure timely and precise documentation of patient care in accordance with facility policies.
- Perform phlebotomy and bedside testing as needed.
- Be available for on-call duties as determined by the Nurse Manager.
- Insert and troubleshoot urinary catheters.
- Initiate patient education as directed by the physician during discharge.
- Exhibit professionalism and exceptional customer service in all interactions with patients and their families.
- May be required to work with patients who are COVID-19 positive or under investigation for COVID-19.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of recent experience in an emergency department or major trauma center.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program recognized by the appropriate state agency.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field is preferred; a master's degree is highly regarded.
- Possession of an unrestricted registered nurse license from any U.S. state.
- Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) is preferred; candidates with Acute/Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) certifications will also be considered.
