We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor to join our faculty in the Department of Social Work at North Carolina Central University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses, advising students, and engaging in scholarly research.
Key Responsibilities- Teach twelve credit hours per semester affiliated with the Department of Social Work.
- Advise students and participate in the development of the Behavioral and Social Sciences (BSS) curriculum.
- Engage in scholarly research and produce peer-reviewed scholarship.
- Perform department and university service.
A PhD in Behavioral Sciences or Healthcare Services is required. Additional education in Behavioral Studies, Psychology, or related areas is a plus. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of teaching experience in Trauma and experience in the formal assessment of student and program learning outcomes.
Working ConditionsThe selected candidate will be expected to work independently as well as collaboratively with others to ensure student success in a diverse environment.
