We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Director to oversee the daily activities of our Clinical Pathology laboratory. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing scientific support staff, ensuring accuracy and validity of test results, and compliance with regulatory and certifying agencies.
Responsibilities:- Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the Clinical Pathology laboratory
- Manage scientific support staff, including medical technicians and lab processors/phlebotomists
- Monitor all procedures and quality control practices to ensure accuracy and validity of test results
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and certifying agencies
- Perform automated and manual hematology, clinical chemistry, coagulation analyses, urinalysis, and inventory review
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or related field
- Current ASCP Certification and NYS license
- Minimum of five years of experience as a laboratory generalist
- Three years of management experience directing multiple technical personnel in a laboratory environment
