Job Summary:

As a key member of our Assurance team at HoganTaylor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality audit and assurance services to our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform financial statement audits, reviews, compilations, and other attestation engagements under the supervision of more experienced staff in various industries. You will actively maintain our Firm's core values and service standards, contributing to the assurance workflow by researching and analyzing financial statement issues using various electronic sources and software. You will also hone your assurance research and planning skills, including the ability to identify, analyze, and articulate problems and opportunities, and propose solutions. Additionally, you will effectively communicate results, both internally and externally, on project and client information. You will carry tasks through to completion, maintain an understanding of all relevant computer software applications, and obtain an understanding of the economics of job performance and Firm operation by reviewing and working within Firm and client budgets. You will also participate in Level 1 and 2 assurance training as assigned, work towards completion of the CPA certification, and participate in professional and business organizations as assigned. You will be expected to maintain a positive, constructive relationship with clients, adhere to the Firm's quality control standards, adhere to a high standard of independence and integrity, and travel as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a business-related field. Compliance to or working towards compliance to the 150-hour rule is preferred. Experience as an intern in a public accounting environment and/or six (6) months to two (2) years recent public accounting experience is also preferred. You should have a strong understanding of generally accepted auditing standards, generally accepted accounting principles (FASB, GAAP, OCBOA), and industry-specific rules. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word is also required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role. Experience with Caseware and RSM methodology is preferred. You should be able to meet deadlines and work effectively in a team environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This role requires the ability to sit, stand, reach, walk, drive, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. You should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
