Deltech Corporate Controller Job Description

The Deltech Corporate Controller will play a pivotal role in the Finance team, providing leadership and strategic direction to the accounting function. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing financial platforms that support the company's growth plan and high standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Set the direction for the global accounting function, aligning it with the company's overall strategic goals and defining departmental goals, KPIs, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Financial Reporting: Provide accurate and timely consolidated financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring appropriate accounting treatment for unusual or material transactions.
  • Accounting Guidelines: Establish and implement accounting guidelines and policies to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with U.S. GAAP and other local statutory requirements.
  • Internal Controls: Establish, implement, and monitor internal controls to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting.
  • Annual Audit: Lead the annual year-end audit process with external auditors and manage the relationship to optimize value to the company.
  • Transaction Accounting: Address various transaction-related accounting requirements, including opening balance sheet accounting, consolidation processes, fixed asset accounting, and accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Process Improvement: Develop processes and business partner relationships to improve the flow of financial information within the company and monitor operating results and budgets to make recommendations for cost reductions and profit improvements.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 10+ years of professional and progressive responsibility, including controller experience and experience managing a team.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with establishing accounting guidelines, internal controls, and policies and procedures.
  • Skills: Consolidations experience, experience partnering with business leaders, and experience in a private equity environment.
Education:

Undergraduate degree in Accounting; MBA is a plus. CPA certification is required.
