Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace Engineering, or Physics from an ABET-accredited institution.

This position may be filled at various levels based on the candidate's experience and organizational requirements.

  • Additional relevant education may substitute for some experience.
  • Experience with RF systems is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of computer networking is a plus.
  • Experience requirements for different levels:
    • Entry Level: Some exposure to RF systems is preferred.
    • Associate Level: Minimum of 3 years of RF or networking experience is necessary.
    • Senior Level: At least 8 years of RF and networking experience is required.
  • Ability to create technical processes, testing, and repair procedures is essential.
  • Familiarity with software command and control applications is desirable.
  • Strong writing, communication, presentation, and customer interaction skills are required.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
  • Must coordinate tasks across multiple project disciplines.
  • Capability to manage and prioritize various projects without compromising deadlines or accuracy.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if necessary.
  • Associate and Senior Level candidates may be expected to guide less experienced engineers.
  • Ability to conduct root cause failure analysis to the component level.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

  • Climbing stairs to access equipment for troubleshooting may be necessary.
  • Personal protective equipment such as hearing and eye protection will be required.
  • Position may involve extended periods of sitting or standing.
  • Physical activities include sitting, walking, standing, and climbing stairs.
  • Work may occur in hazardous testing facilities; quick evacuation may be required in emergencies.

Work Environment:

  • Work will take place both indoors and outdoors across the test complex.
  • Daily travel to various site areas may be necessary.
  • Walking on uneven terrain, including paved and unpaved surfaces, is required.
  • Climbing ladders and platforms may be necessary.
  • All tasks must be performed safely in accordance with safety standards.

Attendance Expectations:

  • Regular full-time hours are expected, typically Monday through Friday.
  • Occasional overtime, including weekends, may be required based on project needs.
  • Dependability and punctuality are essential.
  • Shift work may be necessary.

Other Essential Functions:

  • Clear communication of ideas in both written and verbal formats is required.
  • Travel may be necessary to fulfill position requirements, which could include airline travel.
  • Professional grooming and attire must be maintained.
  • Compliance with drug-free workplace policies is mandatory.
  • Future government security clearance may be required.
