Job Overview

As an Investment Associate specializing in early-stage ventures, you will be instrumental in discovering, assessing, and nurturing promising startups across diverse sectors. Collaborating closely with senior investment professionals, your role will encompass deal sourcing, conducting thorough evaluations, and aiding in the management of our investment portfolio. Key Responsibilities
  1. Deal Sourcing:
    • Identify and source potential investment opportunities in early-stage ventures through networking, attending industry events, and cultivating relationships with entrepreneurs and fellow investors.
    • Maintain a dynamic pipeline of prospective investments by keeping abreast of industry trends and startup ecosystems.
  2. Due Diligence:
    • Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to evaluate the potential of investment opportunities.
    • Analyze financial statements, business models, and growth strategies to assess the viability and scalability of startups.
    • Assist in the preparation of investment memos and presentations for internal investment committees.
  3. Portfolio Management:
    • Support existing portfolio companies by providing strategic guidance, identifying growth opportunities, and connecting them with relevant resources.
    • Monitor the performance of portfolio companies, track key metrics, and prepare regular reports for senior management.
    • Assist in follow-on investment decisions and exit strategies.
  4. Financial Modeling and Valuation:
    • Develop and maintain financial models to project startup performance and evaluate potential returns.
    • Assist in negotiating term sheets and structuring investment deals.
  5. Networking and Relationship Building:
    • Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, industry experts, co-investors, and other stakeholders in the startup ecosystem.
    • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and startup pitches.
  6. Research and Analysis:
    • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and key players in the startup ecosystem.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to the investment team based on your research findings.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or a related field. Prior experience working with or investing in startups is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
