Job Description

At Sterling Engineering Inc., we are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Safety and Compliance to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive safety strategy that aligns with our company's values and goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Safety Strategy: Create and execute a safety strategy that prioritizes the well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies to minimize risks.
  • Ensure Compliance: Verify that all company operations and processes meet or exceed regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead Safety Training: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on safety protocols and procedures.
  • Investigate Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations into workplace incidents and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure safety is integrated into all aspects of our business.
Requirements:
  • 15+ Years of Safety Experience: Proven track record in developing and implementing safety strategies in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Compliance Expertise: In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, including OSHA and industry-specific standards.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate teams to prioritize safety and compliance.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey safety information to employees and stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in safety management software and tools.
