- EH&S Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement EH&S policies, procedures, and tools to meet Solid Power's long-term objectives.
- ESG Objectives and Strategies: Define short- and long-term ESG objectives and strategies for the EH&S organization.
- EH&S Requirements for New Programs: Define EH&S requirements for new programs to ensure compliance with industry, local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.
- Department Budget Management: Manage the EH&S department's budget to achieve business objectives and report project status to business and market leaders.
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent: A bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental health, or occupational health, or equivalent education and experience.
- 15+ Years of Experience: A minimum of 15 years of experience in environmental health and safety, with a strong background in the chemical industry.
- OSHA, PSM, IFC, REACH, and EPA Standards: In-depth knowledge of OSHA, PSM, IFC, REACH, and EPA standards.
- Chemical Safety Background: A chemical safety background with a focus on flammable liquids and water reactive compounds.
- ISO 45001 Internal Auditor: ISO 45001 internal auditor certification, with lead auditor certification preferred.
- Strong Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write and implement administrative policies and procedures.
- Technical Concept Explanation: Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
- Project and Department Budget Process: Familiarity with project and department budget process and tools.
- Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Conceptual planning ability, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Conflict Management: Ability to work well under pressure, manage conflict, and demonstrate flexibility in work style to accommodate changing priorities and deadlines.
