WakeMed is a leading healthcare provider seeking a skilled Patient Accounts Representative to join our team. As a key member of our financial services department, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate billing and timely resolution of outstanding claims.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and edit claims to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Follow up on outstanding claims to achieve timely resolution
- Monitor and maintain accounts receivable to ensure it remains below 20% of total outstanding A/R
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing and payment issues
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on billing
- 2 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on billing, preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in business administration or related field, preferred
Work Environment
- 8-hour workday, Monday through Friday
- No weekend or evening shifts
