Job Opportunity

We are currently looking for skilled Machine Operators to join our dynamic team. This position is based in our manufacturing facility and offers a competitive starting wage.

Position Summary

The ideal candidates will possess a strong work ethic and a background in manufacturing. Emphasis will be placed on safety, quality assurance, and continuous improvement throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in operating extruders and related machinery, including material loaders and vacuum systems.
  • Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring tools.
  • Accurately package products and maintain production documentation.
  • Utilize hand tools and operate forklifts as necessary.
  • Manage material transfer and loading for production needs.
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions in the workplace.
  • Remove scrap materials in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Joint Health & Safety Committee to uphold safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred; candidates must be at least 18 years old.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous; experience with plastics is a plus.
  • Experience in extrusion processes is highly desirable.
  • Stable employment history demonstrating a commitment to long-term career growth.
  • Proficient in measurement techniques and basic mathematics.
  • Forklift operation experience is beneficial.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Self-motivated with effective communication skills and a willingness to learn.
  • A team player with a proven ability to contribute positively to team dynamics.
  • Availability to work 12-hour shifts as required.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screenings is mandatory.

Working Conditions

This role requires physical stamina, including walking, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 50 lbs. The environment is fast-paced, demanding acute sensory attention.
