Key Responsibilities
  • Emergency Response
    • Answer incoming calls, administrative, non-emergency, and emergency
    • Professional etiquette and promptly ascertain proper levels of response
    • Triage calls and enter data into computer system
  • Data Entry and Dispatch
    • Data Entry with critical attention to details
    • Constantly monitoring the dispatch system
    • Ensure units are en-route and post moves in a timely fashion
    • Ensure other units are within acceptable distance
  • Communication and Maintenance
    • Communicate appropriate routing instructions
    • Assist with routine maintenance of Communication Center
    • Investigate and report all time exceptions
    • Complete and submit daily reports
  • Team Support
    • Assist in training new personnel
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Highly organized
  • Accountability, compliance, and teamwork
  • Professional, courteous, and respectful interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience with medical terminology, preferably with a background in emergency medical transportation
  • Thorough geographic knowledge of service areas
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks; ability to work independently and as a team member
