- Interact with customers regarding orders, changes, concerns, and documentation needs.
- Process invoices and closely monitor all accounts receivable.
- Research and bill truck detention charges to customers.
- Research and obtain resolution of customer issues.
- Effectively manage relationships with Account Managers, Plants, Supply Chain, Transportation, and Technical Services.
- Cross-train on all CSR responsibilities.
- Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Prefer 2+ years of experience with customer service.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, and organizational skills.
- High regard for accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate well in a team environment.
- Must be committed to group goals and objectives and continually seek to improve.
- Must be able to receive direction from others and work independently while managing priorities.
- Must be able to confidently make complex decisions and problem-solving which impact all aspects of the business.
- Must have a friendly and positive disposition.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook required.
- Ability to learn web-based and other computer applications as needed.
- Actively expand knowledge of customer business and market conditions.
- Proficiency in clerical skills including keyboarding, data entry, filing, scanning, faxing, and photo copying.
The ideal candidate will be able to sit for prolonged periods of time, operate a keyboard, stand, file, bend, kneel, and clearly communicate via the telephone and email.
