As we expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle/Business Administration Team. This role is crucial in overseeing the financial processes associated with patient billing and accounts receivable. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and strong communication and analytical abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and process patient claims and invoices efficiently.
- Confirm insurance eligibility and benefits accurately.
- Address billing discrepancies and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Collaborate with insurance providers and patients to facilitate payments and resolve conflicts.
- Maintain precise and current patient records and billing documentation.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to patients and internal teams.
- Support additional billing and revenue cycle initiatives as required.
- This position requires on-site presence.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or accounts receivable is preferred.
- Familiarity with healthcare billing practices and insurance reimbursement processes.
- Solid understanding of billing and coding standards (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS).
- Proficient in billing software and MS Office Suite.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
