Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Office Manager/Medical Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our office, ensuring excellent patient, employee, and physician satisfaction, and promoting a positive staff culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide leadership and guidance to staff members, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Office Operations: Oversee the overall office operations, including managing staff schedules, coordinating physician schedules, and ensuring the proper use of office equipment.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Manage all aspects of the care center's compliance and risk management, including ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Human Resources: Work with the HR department to handle employee relations issues, including hiring, progressive discipline, performance reviews, and terminating employees.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and coaching to staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Purchasing and Inventory Management: Responsible for purchasing decisions, managing inventory, and ensuring the proper use of office supplies.
  • Credentialing and Revenue Cycle: Work with the credentialing department to obtain physician signatures or documentation and with the revenue cycle department to ensure maximized reimbursement.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with staff members, physicians, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and excellent patient care.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of progressive experience in leadership and supervisory roles in a medical practice desired.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of practice operations, human resources, medical terminology, and eClinicalWorks (eCW) desired.
  • Certifications: AAMA certification preferred.
