As a key member of our engineering team, you will provide critical support to our engineers and designers in various tasking, including installing, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, calibrating, testing, fabricating, constructing, and operating diverse electronic/mechanical equipment and systems in accordance with engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing technical support to engineering and design staff in installing, monitoring, and servicing SWFTS Tech-Insertion & APB cycle of AN/BLQ-10 ESM systems at various Naval locations.
- Assisting with test and evaluation, checkout, and certification tasks.
- Performing validations/verifications of various electronic systems.
- Reviewing change proposals for equipment impacts.
- Assisting in accomplishing Engineering Change Instructions.
- Developing technical/engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems, technical manuals, troubleshooting procedures, drawing updates, operation procedures, and maintainability improvements.
- Establishing and maintaining a filing system, databases, and logs for tracking project status and inventory.
- Providing technical data and evaluation for components installation, equipment maintenance, and systems consistent with engineering plans, layout, and contract requirements.
- Active Secret US Government Clearance.
- Five (5) years of practical experience and High School diploma/GED or Three (3) years practical experience and an Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science.
- Practical experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and/or repair of C5I and/or NC3 systems/equipment.
- Experience in maintenance, repair, and/or installation disciplines.
- Experience in design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents and drawings.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Knowledge across multiple submarine platforms and SWFTS systems.
This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.
