Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

Job Summary:

The Adult Psychiatric Support Specialist is a vital member of our multidisciplinary team, providing a safe and structured environment for patients in crisis. This role requires a strong ability to de-escalate aggressive patients, interact with patients on an individual basis, and perform safety checks.

About the Role:

  • Provide support and guidance to patients in a behavioral health unit, promoting a supportive environment for recovery.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  • Perform safety checks and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Attend to the individual needs of patients in crisis, using effective communication and de-escalation techniques.

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or GED required.
  • Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification required.
  • 1 year previous mental health experience in a Psych locked unit strongly preferred.
