Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA). As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the well-being of our community.
Job Summary:The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will work under the general direction of the Medical Director and within established hospital and departmental policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the physical and psychosocial health of individuals and families, evaluating and interpreting health data, and developing and implementing effective therapeutic plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess the physical and psychosocial health of individuals and families.
- Evaluate and interpret health data, including laboratory and radiographic studies.
- Develop and implement effective therapeutic plans, collaborating with other members of the healthcare team.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health and wellness.
- Work with the community to assess health needs and develop programs to meet those needs.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in Nursing, with a specialization in psychiatric mental health nursing or a relevant clinical area.
- Current Massachusetts licensure, authorizing practice in an expanded role as a Psychiatric Nurse Clinical Specialist, and authorization including prescriptive authority.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in inpatient or psychiatric emergency services.
