Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced teachers to join our faculty pool. As an adjunct instructor, you will have the opportunity to teach and grow professionally in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York. We prioritize quality teaching and seek individuals who are committed to principles of diversity and inclusion.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Plan course instruction based on the approved syllabus.
  • Follow the outline provided to ensure course content and objectives are met.
  • Design, administer, and grade course assignments, essays, and exams to assess achievement of course objectives.
  • Plan effectively for classes and student success.
  • Serve as a second reader for the student's Capstone Thesis as required.
  • Actively engage with students in the learning process.
  • Work with the Division Chair to ensure instructional and program quality.
  • Contribute to program development through collaborative participation in curriculum design and review.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times.
  • Attend provided training and meetings to support effectiveness within the position.
  • Demonstrate high standards of integrity and adhere to institutional policies.
  • Maintain student privacy in accordance with FERPA policies and procedures.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree required.
  • Two to three years of teaching experience preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Understand and behave with a high level of integrity and complete confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to be sensitive to and respond to the needs/concerns of students, faculty, college staff, and the public.
  • Ability to work under pressure with a high tolerance for interruptions and diverse groups of people.
