Position Overview: At Premier Paths, our Process Safety Managers play a crucial role in delivering value by proactively identifying and mitigating risks. They ensure that the health and safety strategies align with the overarching company visions and the principles of Chemical Process Safety (PSM). Our PSM Managers are pivotal in fostering a culture of safety excellence and driving performance improvements through effective coaching and development of the facility team.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Safety, or a related technical discipline.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a PSM-regulated environment.
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) credentials, or progress towards these certifications is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in leading cultural transformations and developing/implementing management systems is highly desirable.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Articulating the vision, expectations, strategies, and initiatives of Process Safety Management to the designated plant personnel.
  • Ensuring the facility has actionable strategies and effective metrics to monitor progress and performance.
  • Challenging and coaching the current safety culture, enhancing commitment, ownership, risk tolerance, practices, and conditions.
  • Developing and utilizing risk assessment methodologies and tools for anticipating, identifying, and evaluating hazards.
  • Managing and addressing identified gaps, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Enhancing employee capabilities to recognize and manage risks while executing critical safe work practices flawlessly.
  • Exhibiting strong interpersonal, leadership, and motivational skills.
  • Utilizing team-building skills and collaborating effectively within a diverse team.
  • Leading with a strong awareness of safety for oneself and others.
