The Vendor Management Consultant is responsible for overseeing all internal-facing services provided by external vendors for CNA. This role involves reviewing reports related to Corporate Travel, Mailroom Operations, Corporate Card, Fleet, Courier, and Office Supplies to ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) during quarterly assessments. The consultant collaborates with internal stakeholders to meet their needs and maintain up-to-date documentation. Building and nurturing vendor relationships while monitoring service quality, expenditures, and client satisfaction is essential.

Key Responsibilities
In accordance with departmental standards, the following duties are performed:
- Responsible for comprehensive reporting on vendor performance and service delivery. Assists the Corporate Services team in managing relationships with outsourced providers for various services including mailroom, records management, courier services, catering, travel, and more. Collaborates with Procurement to suggest contract improvements.
- Assesses travel objectives and programs set by management, ensuring alignment with policies and procedures for both vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Oversees related expenditures and aids in the preparation and management of the departmental budget. Works with both internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor payments and reconciliations.
- Reviews and approves final invoices from outsourced providers to confirm the accuracy of charges. Coordinates with Financial Planning & Analysis on accruals for services rendered but not yet billed, as well as accounting chargebacks for service usage.
- Generates reports for leadership to assess vendor performance and offers recommendations well ahead of contract renewals. Analyzes vendor utilization to ensure mutually beneficial relationships.
- Manages market share travel commitments with preferred suppliers to uphold corporate discounts.
- Develops, analyzes, and maintains reports on travel and fleet management, tracking business travel trends to identify opportunities for efficiency, relationship enhancement, and cost savings.
- Actively manages content on CNA's designated Travel Management tool and intranet sites to ensure it is relevant for Corporate Service users. Streamlines communication channels within the organization and ensures that process changes are effectively communicated.
- Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with vendors. Responsible for monitoring and evaluating vendor services, outcomes, and costs, including conducting quality assessments to identify areas for improvement and developing solutions.

Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Proficient in managing external travel, mailroom, fleet, and corporate card service providers.
- Familiarity with industry trends in travel, mailroom operations, corporate credit card management, and fleet services.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to engage effectively with both internal and external partners.
- Adept at maintaining client satisfaction, even in challenging situations.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant business software.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively across departments.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Typically requires 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in managing corporate programs, including mailroom, travel, fleet, and courier services.
